2-1-11 - ICE DAY

In case you missed it....

Today was a snow/ice day so Rosie Radio was a repeat.  I hear from my Jersey proofreader the weather is pretty horrible up in the New York area.  I'm in D.C. and it's pretty awful here too.

My kids are home from school and being wonderful but I can't seem to shake the winter blues.  :(

Hope you are all hanging in there.

  1. ((((HUGS)))) The sun'll come out
    Tomorrow
    Bet your bottom dollar
    That tomorrow
    There'll be sun!
    Just thinkin' about
    Tomorrow
    Clears away the cobwebs,
    And the sorrow
    'Til there's none!
    When I'm stuck a day
    That's gray,
    And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
    And Grin,
    And Say,
    Oh
    The sun'll come out
    Tomorrow
    So ya gotta hang on
    'Til tomorrow
Come what may a la Jeannie Weenie. Well, now I am not going to complain that Ro is a rerun. and I am going to be happy for what I got. I say, hot chocolate for all with little marshmellows. And a sing along with the kids. See how many broadway tunes you can teach them!!!Love you You do a great job here.

  2. Getting dumped on here in Upstate New York near Lake George. Suppose to only get a few inches today but tomorrow the real storm hits. They are calling for 30 or so inches. Lovely...I'm settling in and have a puzzle going, might play some wi games. Of course watching TV is a given. Power goes out, I have two books that I've started. I'm all set. :)

  4. I was delighted to hear Rosie and Howard, and since I'm a relatively new subscriber, this was my first chance. I had never heard Rosie's view on Jay Leno before, and I was relieved and delighted to know that it coincides with mine exactly. I enjoyed today's show so much, I've listened to it twice! :-)

  5. Today was a messy morning commute in the NYC area, but definitely doable. I doubt anyone who lives in Nyack wouldn't have been able to make it to NYC for their job today, so why the snowday for the reverse commute?

Since we have an end date in sight, I'm sorry for every snowday that isn't absolutely necessary. I bet tomorrow will be necessary, but I don't think today was.

Thanks for always keeping us informed Kelly!

  6. Unfortunately, there is no way to be 100% sure that when you leave your home in the morning, your commute will be uneventful. I'm sure Rosie would rather keep her staff home safe and sound than risk driving in what COULD be hazardous conditions.

Err on the side of caution, I guess!

Looking forward to their return...and to the end of winter. Thanks, Kelly! :)

  7. I loved today's show - wasn't aware that it was a repeat. In fact, I got to work and sat in my car for about 15 min. cause I wanted to hear everything. I am addicted to Rosie Radio - can't wait for her show on OWN. Her "cast of characters" just crack me up everyday. THANK YOU THANK YOU

  8. Whenever I get to hear Rosie and Howard chat together, I'm a happy girl. Even if it was a repeat. Hopefully they'll get together again soon.

    Stay safe and warm everyone!

Thanks for all of your great work, Kelly. Lovin' the Pink Ink!

  10. I am so disheartened by all the naysayers, on Rosie's "Ask Ro" and here. RECORD SNOWFALLS people. Lighten up! Rosie is NOT the one to make the decision about snow days!

Kelly, I appreciate that even on Snow Days, you still give us a little Pink Ink to make us happy!

  12. Agreed Petra! Maybe peoples should read this before deciding when it's best for other people to drive...http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_winter_weather

Some of our pipes have frozen because we thought we weren't getting the cold until tomorrow. Such is life, in Tejas, and everywhere else! Embrace the unexpected. ;-)
